Putting the Merry into Christmas

December 20, 2010 - Calgary, AB.

Every assistant, engineer and accountant in Calgary town,
Have witnessed a bustle that does not let down.

One that started with the hanging of a small mistletoe,
And the appearance of two reindeer, a buck and a doe.

The following day a stocking was hung,
Red and white fur over a desk top was flung.

Then came the rushing from office and desk
To shops during noon hour for gifts picturesque.

Geologist, lawyers, and change managers alike
Were searching for presents, for goodies and bikes.

They planned to buy books, jewellery and toys.
And then came the clammer, the rush and the noise.

“Next week is Christmas! It's practically here.”
Observed Cathy who was surely feeling the cheer.

“I know what to do!” Kevin laughed in his throat.
In a blink of an eye he made a red Santa hat and a coat.

Then he smiled, and clucked "What a great management trick.
I’ll remind clients and associates of their riches dressed as Saint Nick.”

Christmas is a time to give and receive.
Which is why we focus on results for people and believe.

“It’s the special gifts and talents we bring to each task.
Excitement and excellence without being asked.”

Shouts Tanya, let’s all stand together with Christmas bells ringing.
Let’s stand hand-in-hand. Let’s all just start singing!

“The harmony, the teamwork, to sing with one voice.
The cooperation and synergy, it is the best choice.”

It isn’t the ribbons! It’s not about tags!
It isn’t the packages, boxes or bags!

“We tell you that Christmas, doesn't come from a store.
I know you will agree that it means so much more.”

“Working together for common good is a true treat.”
Says Cathy and Kevin without skipping a beat.

Thank you for sharing this year with our team.
And enjoy this message as we keep Christmas green.
