Do the Work You Love, Make the Salary You Deserve

September 23, 2010 – Calgary, AB. - Agility Factor Inc. (AFI) is co-hosting a new book launch and professional networking event; Rock Your Review: 10 Tips to Prove Your Performance on Thursday, September 23, 2010.

Each chapter of Rock Your Review includes tips and templates which lead readers step by step, through the first days on the job to preparations for a performance review. Readers will discover how to ask for professional development and a salary increase. They will also learn to identify the unique value they bring to their organization and how to recognize a mentor.

“We believe in walking our talk,” says Tanya Stevenson, AFI Service Delivery Lead and book co-author. “In my experience networking is a powerful tool in the advancement of a successful career so we included this activity as a key element of our launch.” Stevenson is a successful management consultant, business woman, university and college instructor, project manager, and mentor.

“We wrote the book to guide readers to the work they love while making the salary they deserve. It’s just that simple,” says Janice Andersson, AFI Communication Advisor and co-author. Andersson is a writer, author, publicist, business woman, consultant and former TV journalist.

With more than 50 years professional experience between them, Stevenson and Andersson will assist readers in meeting and exceeding their professional objectives.

“Rock Your Review is a rich and accessible source for students who are preparing to enter the workforce, young professionals, not to mention anyone who wishes to advance their career,” says Kevin Litzenberger, AFI Partner. “Mentoring and coaching is a key component of the work we do at AFI and I would recommend this tool to anyone who feels their career is stalled.”
